After a meeting in Johnson City was cancelled earlier in the season, Tennessee and ETSU will meet for a baseball game on Wednesday, April 26, at Smokies Stadium in Sevierville.
“We are excited to host both of these fine schools,” said Smokies President and COO Chris Allen in a release. “With the expansion of Boyd Sports last year to Johnson City and our existing ownership of the Tennessee Smokies, this was a perfect fit geographically. We look forward to having both these prestigious programs compete here at Smokies stadium.”
According to the release, the Smokies will feature multiple ticket options for fans of both teams for the event. Field level seating prices will be $10 for adults, $8 for children and seniors, and $5 for current UT and ETSU students. The team will also offer All You Can Eat options ranging from $19 for adults, $17 for children, and $15 for students. For more ticket information fans can call (865) 286-2300, visit smokiesbaseball.com, or visit the Smokies Box Office Monday through Friday between the hours of 10 am and 5 pm. Tickets will be available for purchase beginning on Monday.
After an 18-4 win over Austin Peay on Wednesday, No. 24 Tennessee baseball is now 12-2 on the season with SEC play opening over the weekend against No. 7 South Carolina.
