The Vanderbilt Commodores have made 13 NCAA Tournament appearances including this year’s berth as a No. 9 seed. And eight of those 13 appearances have come in the last 14 NCAA Tournaments.

Despite the larger number of appearances in the tournament, Vanderbilt hasn’t made many deeper runs. In fact, the Commodores have never made it to the Elite Eight. But they do have four Sweet Sixteen appearances and were just a point away from making their first Elite Eight in 2007 when the No. 6 seed Commodores lost to No. 2 seed Georgetown.

The Commodores have made back-to-back NCAA Tournaments and have only missed four tournaments over the last 11 years. But they have still yet to make a deeper run in the tournament.
