10. Auburn
Although Auburn hasn’t made the NCAA Tournament since 2003, their history prior to that is enough to keep them from the very bottom of the SEC in terms of tournament performance.
The Tigers have only made seven appearances in the NCAA Tournament, but they’ve advanced to the Sweet Sixteen four times in those seven trips, and they made the Elite Eight in 1986. Auburn’s most recent tournament appearance as a No. 10 seed in 2003 saw them lose by just a point to No. 3 seed Syracuse in the Sweet Sixteen.
It’s been a decade and a half since Auburn has made it to the NCAA Tournament. But their history shows they’re capable of making runs when they can actually earn a berth.
