14. South Carolina
Since the NCAA Tournament expanded to 64 teams in 1985, South Carolina has made the tournament a mere five times. That’s it. The Gamecocks have made the Big Dance five times in 33 tournaments. And that’s including this year’s tournament in which South Carolina made it in as a No. 7 seed.
If that’s not bad enough, South Carolina hasn’t even won a game in the NCAA Tournament at all since 1973 when they won the regional third place game against Southwest Louisiana.
South Carolina easily has the worst NCAA Tournament track record among SEC teams. They can help improve that this year if they can make a little run in this year’s Tournament, though.
