4. LSU
Despite having fewer appearances in the NCAA Tournament than Missouri, LSU has had even more success when they’ve made it to the Big Dance.
LSU has made 15 trips to the NCAA Tournament, and they have four Sweet Sixteens, three Elite Eights, and two Final Fours in their appearances. The Tigers last made the Final Four in 2006, and they made it that far in 1986 as well. They made it to the Elite Eight in 1987 and made it as far as the Sweet Sixteen in 2000.
The Tigers haven’t won a tournament game since 2009, but they have made it further in the NCAA Tournament than 10 other SEC schools and have a track record of success in basketball’s biggest tournament.
