Though recently they haven’t had many runs in the NCAA Tournament, Alabama had a stretch of strong tournament success in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Alabama has made the NCAA Tournament 15 times and made it to the Sweet Sixteen five times in a seven year period from 1985-1991. The Tide would struggle to make it out of the second round after that until they made it all the way to the Elite Eight in 2004. Alabama has won at least one game in all but four of their NCAA Tournament appearances.

The Tide haven’t been in the NCAA Tournament since 2012, but their track record is solid and is better than most of the schools in the SEC.
