T.J. Weist
Quick bio: Weist was Butch Jones’ receiver coach at Cincinnati from 2010-12, but didn’t come with Jones to Tennessee. He’s also made stops at Western Kentucky, Tulsa and Cincinnati among other stops. He’s currently the offensive coordinator/passing game coordinator/wide receivers coach at South Florida, a position he’s been in since 2016.
Pros: If Jones wants continuity, Weist is a name he’s very familiar with. Weist also worked with offensive line coach Walt Wells at Western Kentucky.
Cons/Questions: As Jones has looked to upgrade the staff, going back to a coach that he didn’t bring with from Cincinnati might not be the best move for him.
