7. What does the new-look running back depth chart look like?
Junior John Kelly has done enough to head into spring practice as the presumed starter at running back. And while he’s the favorite to take the majority of carries in 2017 at this point, the Vols will need at least a couple other players to step up and help out. Incoming freshman Ty Chandler, who will arrive this summer, might be the best bet to be Kelly’s complimentary back, but sophomore Carlin Fils-aime, who is the only other scholarship back currently on campus, has a great opportunity to show what he can do this spring.
