RB/ATH Octavius Matthews
Matthews, who is ranked as the No. 1 junior college athlete and the No. 26 junior college prospect overall by the 247Sports Composite ranking, tweeted that his finalists are now Tennessee, Kansas and Purdue. Matthews doesn’t have a Tennessee offer as of Friday, however, so like several other players on this list, it’s tough to say what his standing with Tennessee actually is.
But he’s worth mentioning because Tennessee needs help at running back and Matthews, who decommitted from Auburn this week, has been a very productive player at that position over the past couple years in junior college.
