Brad Johnson, DE
The Vols already have three defensive ends committed in the 2017 class, including one who’s already on campus as an early enrollee in Deandre Johnson. Tennessee also picked up a commitment from Ryan Thaxton just earlier this week.
But that won’t stop them from adding another defensive end should a highly-rated one want to join the class.
Brad Johnson is a four-star according to both the 247Sports Composite ranking and 247Sports’ own rankings, and he is scheduled to visit the Vols on January 20th. Johnson is from Pendelton, SC and he’s been projected as either a Virginia Tech or South Carolina pledge. The Vols, however, have been making a big push as of late and will get his last official visit before National Signing Day.
Johnson last visited Virginia Tech on December 9th and visited South Carolina on January 14th. He’s also unofficially visited South Carolina two other times and holds offers from Michigan State, Texas A&M, and others.
