Commitments: Will Ignont (4-star, inside), Shanon Reid (3-star, outside), Solon Page III (3-star, outside)

Just like at offensive line, the Vols have a high profile headliner at the top of this unit with some good support players behind him. Will Ignont is the lone inside linebacker committed in the Vols’ 2017 class, and he’s also the highest-rated linebacker in the class. Ignont has offers from Alabama, Michigan, Auburn, Georgia, Florida, and Florida State among many others.

Tennessee’s two outside linebacker commits are both three-stars, and both are tackling machines. Reid totaled 117 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, and two sacks his senior season for Dunbar High School in Fort Meyers, Florida while Page piled up 178 tackles, 23 tackles for loss, and two sacks while also scoring on both a fumble recovery and interception.

The Vols needed more depth at linebacker in this class, and they found just that with the three linebackers they have committed.
