Cam Sutton decided to come back for his senior season this year, choosing to play one more season for the Vols rather than taking his chances in the NFL. Sutton will still likely be an NFL draftee this upcoming draft, but an injury-riddled 2016 has dropped his stock significantly. Sutton hasn’t looked like himself since coming back from injury either.

But if Sutton can show out and look healthy against Nebraska, he should be able to gain back some of his draft positioning.

Sutton has just 22 tackles, an interception, and four pass breakups in the six games he’s played this season. He’s also struggled in the punt return game, gaining only 31 yards on five returns after totaling 467 yards and scoring twice on 26 attempts last year.

If there’s one Vol who needs an impressive bowl game performance, it’s Cam Sutton. A strong game against Nebraska after nearly a month off will do a lot for his NFL draft prospects.
