Defensive Backs
Two true defensive backs have gone on to find different homes after leaving the Vols. One was part of the 2013 class, and the other was in the 2014 class.
Lemond Johnson was yet another member of the 2013 signing class that ended up leaving the Vols. Johnson ended up at Richmond where he totaled just two tackles, a forced fumble, and one interception for the Spiders.
D’Andre Payne was in the massive 2014 signing class and ended up transferring to Iowa State. Payne has found success with the Cyclones so far, totaling 44 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, and seven pass breakups in 2016.
