Defensive Line
Several defensive linemen have left Tennessee over the last handful of seasons. And a couple of them ended up outside of the FBS.
Jason Carr was part of the 2013 signing class but ended up transferring to the University of West Georgia in Division II. In his two seasons with the Wolves, Carr totaled 65 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, four sacks, an interception, and a forced fumble. He also returned a fumbled for a touchdown in 2015.
Jaylen Miller, also a part of the 2013 class, moved on to Limestone College. Miller made 16 tackles, six tackles for loss, five sacks, and forced three fumbles in 2016.
Malik Brown was another member of the 2013 class to transfer, and he ended up at Bowling Green, a Vol opponent in 2015. Brown totaled 23 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and a half a sack in three seasons at Bowling Green.
Dewayne Hendrix was a member of the 2014 class who ended up leaving after the 2014 season. He landed at Pittsburgh along with Nathan Peterman, but Hendrix has yet to register any stats. He sat out the 2015 season then suffered a season-ending injury in Pitt’s season opening game of 2016.
