9. Make the Lady Vols Great Again
Ever since Pat Summitt stepped down as the Lady Vols basketball coach, it hasn’t been the same for the program. To be fair, the Lady Vols started slipping a bit even under Summitt, but fans have put most of the blame (right or wrong) on Holly Warlick. And now the pressure has really turned up after a less than stellar start to this basketball season.
The Lady Vols haven’t made it past the Elite Eight since they won the National Championship in 2008. Warlick took over as head coach in 2012 and has seen a decline in production. The Lady Vols made it to the Elite Eight last season despite winning only 19 games in the regular season and SEC Tournament combined. Right now, however, the Lady Vols are 7-4 with losses to Virginia Tech, Penn State, Texas, and an embarrassing blowout loss to Baylor.
Granted, the Lady Vols did just upset No. 10 Standford and dump over 100 points on Troy, but this is far from the start the team needed. Getting the Lady Vols back to greatness again would be a huge step for Warlick and Co.
