Game 7 – Alabama
Tennessee managed to hang around for about a half against the No. 1 ranked team in the country, but Alabama slammed the gas pedal in the second half and ran away with a 49-10 beat down against the Vols in Neyland Stadium.
Alabama ran all over the Vols to the tune of 409 rushing yards, and their offense was firing on all cylinders in the second half. Meanwhile, Tennessee’s offense couldn’t get anything going against an elite Crimson Tide defense and were held to a mere 32 rushing yards. The Vols were without several starters in this game and lost a few more during the game as well. But even if Tennessee had been full strength, it would’ve been tough for them to keep pace with Alabama in this one.
