Game 5 – Georgia

Vol fans will remember this game for one play and one play only: The Hail Mary to win the game as time expired. But it was an exciting game even before the dramatic ending.

Georgia led for most of the game against Tennessee, and the Vols struggled mightily to get out of their own way in the first half. The Vols turned the ball over three times and let the Bulldogs control the time of possession. And it looked like game over when freshman quarterback Jacob Eason tossed a 47-yard touchdown pass to Riley Ridley with eight seconds left to take a 31-28 lead.

But then Josh Dobbs and Jauan Jennings connected on one of the most dramatic plays in Tennessee football history, and an otherwise average performance by the Vols was elevated and forever immortalized.
