Defensive End De-Commits From Vols

The December movement continues for the Tennessee 2017 recruiting class.

Three-star defensive end Tre Lawson, who committed to the Vols over the summer, announced a change of plans on Tuesday evening via his Twitter account:

Lawson (6-6, 250) is ranked as the 19th best strongside defensive end in the nation, per 247Sports. He also holds offers from Ole Miss, Florida State, Mississippi State, South Carolina and others. He’s the second Vol to de-commit this week, joining Georgia inside linebacker Mo Burnam.

Tennessee picked up a commitment from three-star Miami (Fla.) defensive end Deandre Johnson earlier in the week, and also currently have a commitment from defensive end LaTrell Bumphiis of Savannah (Tenn.) in the 2017 class, which now sits at 24 total commitments.

Three-star end Matthew Butler and four-star LaBryan Ray are among the other defensive ends the Vols are pursuing in this class, which is currently ranked as the 11th best in the country, per 247.
