With just three scholarship signal-callers set to return in 2017 – Quinten Dormady, Sheriron Jones and Jarrett Guarantano – Tennessee is expected to take a quarterback in the 2017 class to bolster depth, and protect against the possibility that one or more could transfer.
Mobile, Ala., quarterback Bubba Thompson has been the most common name linked to the Vols in the past few months, but a new target emerged on Thursday evening when Will McBride of Clear Spring, Tex., announced that UT offered him.

The 6-foot-0, 198-pound QB also has offers from Boise State, Purdue and Utah, among others.
