Mike DeBord has been a lightning rod for criticism among the Tennessee fanbase for the past couple years. At the end of the day, the numbers his offenses have put up have been pretty impressive, but the offense also has shown a tendency to have some no-shows in critical times. His predictability in play-calling and some of his personnel decisions (like how he used Alvin Kamara early in the season) have been heavily scrutinized as well. I’m not expecting Jones to make a change here – the offense simply put up too big of numbers down the stretch to do that. But, like several other areas, this is a spot that Jones will continue to evaluate.

Are there some changes that can be made to prevent some of those sluggish stretches? Is Tennessee using all its personnel to the max? What changes need to be thought about with the departure of Dobbs and possibly Kamara as well? Those will all be looked into this offseason. And there’s also the possibility that DeBord could opt to retire, so there’s a lot that could happen at this spot.
