Tennessee’s staff is hitting the road to try to finish off the 2017 class strong, but the Vols also added a commitment for way down the road in the 2019 class on Monday.
Receiver TJ Sheffield, who received his first offer from Tennessee in October of this year, went ahead and made his pledge to UT via Twitter after being a visitor for the Tennessee-Vanderbilt game over the weekend.

That sophomore duo has helped lead Independence to a 14-0 record and an upcoming appearance on Friday in the 5A state title game against Farragut.
According to MaxPreps.com, Sheffield has 23 carries for 339 yards and six touchdowns on the season, in addition to 43 catches for 758 yards and nine touchdowns. Scurry has 49 catches for 866 yards and 15 scores.
