Linebackers
The Vols had to use several linebackers again in this one because Darrin Kirkland Jr. was banged up, and the lack of consistency and experience showed late. The linebacking corps did a solid job stopping the run for three quarters. But then the fourth quarter happened, and Vanderbilt ripped it open. The linebackers were also bad in the pass game all night, and their poor tackling allowed the Commodores to gain extra yardage.
