The first half game plan was done well and executed well. The plan was even called well to start the second half. But as the game wore on, the play calling got worse on both sides of the ball, and it cost Tennessee. Players seemed unprepared and disinterested, and that’s on both the players and coaches. Derek Mason and his staff seemed like the superior coaching staff on Saturday night, and that hasn’t been the case a lot in Mason’s career at Vanderbilt.
