Micah Abernathy had a nice interception and return to start the second half that helped give the Vols some breathing room. With the rest of the safeties banged up, he really stepped up with that play, in addition to 12 tackles. Rashaan Gaulden was extremely active as well with nine tackles and a TFL. Overall, just like every other level of the defense, there were way too many mental errors from this group. The tackling must get better, and Drew Lock was able to pile up 320 yards through the air.
