Offensively, the Vols were aggressive and ran the system almost to perfection for much of the game. The Vols had just one three-and-out and seven scoring drives of 58 yards or more – including two over 90 yards. The flea-flicker was a great call that produced a touchdown for the Vols. Defensively, however, it was a terrible performance. Bob Shoop is playing with an incomplete deck, but even with some key players back in the lineup Saturday, the Vols still gave up the third most rushing yards in school history. That’s unacceptable. But even with that, UT was in control for much of the game and got an important win in the SEC East race.
