It’s just a matter of time for this two-year streak to be busted. The Vols, after producing about as much NFL talent as anybody over the past several decades, have gone two straight years without a player picked. That’s all but guaranteed to come to an end in 2017. Injuries and attrition have complicated the picture a bit, but junior Derek Barnett, who appears to be a sure-fire first-round pick, is expected to go pro and should be picked early. Running back Alvin Kamara, cornerback Cam Sutton and linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin are other draft-eligible players to keep an eye on in 2017.
