10. Losing streak to Alabama
Tennessee came oh-so-close in 2015 in Tuscaloosa – taking a late lead before ultimately falling 19-14. The Vols were even closer in 2009. They lined up for a game-winning field goal, only to have it blocked by Terrance Cody for a 12-10 Alabama win. Outside of that, UT’s matchups haven’t been very close in this series in recent years. The Vols are coming off one of their worst defeats in history to Alabama in Knoxville this year, so optimism might not be high, but UT will get another shot to get its first win in the series since 2006 in Tuscaloosa next year.
