3. No SEC East titles since 2007
After knocking off Florida and Georgia earlier this season, it looked like the Vols might roll into Atlanta this year. They’re not mathematically out of it at this point, but three straight losses have put them in position to need a lot of help from the Gators. The good news is that the East has been down for awhile now, and could be up for grabs for several years. The bad news? This was supposed to be the year for UT. And if the Vols don’t make it in 2016, it’s tough to love their chances in the coming seasons.
