Overall
The Vols looked uninspired and unimpressive for almost the entire game in this one. The Vols committed three turnovers and were unable to force a young South Carolina offense to commit a single one themselves. Tennessee couldn’t get much going on offense, and the defense let up far too many chunk plays and big plays to a Gamecock offense that had been ineffective all season. The Vols simply looked like they didn’t want to be on the field against South Carolina, and they were handed a loss as a result.
