Secondary
Looking at the stats, UT is a respectable sixth in the SEC in passing defense. But that doesn’t tell the whole story. Opponents have found plenty of success running the ball through UT’s defense, and have been content to focus on that. The secondary, like the front two levels, hasn’t consistently tackled well thus far. Replacing Cam Sutton has been a challenge with mixed results. Baylen Buchanan has been a nice surprise, but has experienced some freshman moments as well.
