Defensive Line
Derek Barnett gets an “A+” for the first seven weeks, but it’s been an adventure at times outside of him. Only two other players from this unit – Kendal Vickers and Corey Vereen – have recorded a sack. This group hasn’t looked as deep and loaded as many projected it to be. Defensive tackle heads into the second half of the season extremely thin with Kahlil McKenzie (injury) and Danny O’Brien (dismissed) out of the equation. Barnett (6 sacks, 11.5 TFLs) will need to continue to carry the load down the stretch, but he needs more help.
