The development of Josh Malone has taken a nice step this year as the former five-star recruit has developed into a top target with 22 catches for 402 yards and five touchdowns. For context, UT’s leading receiver in 2015 (Von Pearson) had 409 yards over the course of 13 games. Jauan Jennings (20 catches, 301 yards, 3 TDs) has emerged as a consistent option as well, showing a flare for the dramatic with two of the biggest plays in recent UT history this season. Tyler Byrd looks to have a bright future, but there hasn’t been much consistency from anybody else in the group. Preston Williams, an opening day starter, left the program recently.

Ethan Wolf has yet to break out, but he’s made a few big catches – including a clutch TD grab against Florida. Jason Croom has his moments, but hasn’t been the weapon fans were hoping for as a second tight end.
