Joshua Dobbs’ durability thus far has kept all the backup quarterbacks mostly on the bench, and very well might allow Guarantano, the top-ranked dual-threat quarterback in the 2016 class, to take a redshirt year. He’s expected to compete for the starting job as soon as 2017. Based on the limited amount we’ve seen him in practice, he seems to have great athleticism, a huge arm and a bright future.
