Offensive Line
What a disaster. The injury bug hit the offensive line hard, and the backups had no prayer against an NFL-caliber defensive front for Alabama. Marcus Tatum should be redshirting this season, but was instead asked to go in the game, and he got overwhelmed. The rest of the group, which consisted of three freshmen, a sophomore and a junior who previously lost his job, got regularly whipped. That was the worst-case scenario for the Vols. It was clearly a failing performance, but the grading depends on how much leniency you’re willing to give to the guys put in a tough situation.
