Some notes and observations from pregame warmups at Neyland Stadium as No. 9 Tennessee takes on No. 1 Alabama on Saturday (3:30 pm ET).
Scouts: NFL scouts from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Miami Dolphins, the New Orleans Saints, the Philadelphia Eagles, the L.A. Rams, the Tennessee Titans, the Chicago Bears, the Indianapolis Colts, the San Diego Chargers, Oakland Raiders, the Seattle Seahawks and the Arizona Cardinals. Reps from the TaxSlayer and Citrus Bowls are also in the press box.
Injury update: Cam Sutton remains in a walking boot and on crutches. Dylan Wiesman is not out with the centers snapping in warmups, so looks like he’s most likely out. Butch Jones called him doubtful during the week.
Linebacker Cortez McDowell and Darrin Kirkland Jr. aren’t dressed out during warmups either. Malik Foreman is also in street clothes. Jalen Hurd, as expected, is fully dressed out and looks fine.
Lineup notes: On offense, the Vols are starting Brett Kendrick, Venzell Boulware, Coleman Thomas, Jack Jones, Chance Hall, Joshua Dobbs, Josh Malone, Ethan Wolf, Josh Smith Jalen Hurd and Jauan Jennings.
Defensively, it looks like the Vols will go with Colton Jumper, Elliott Berry, Derek Barnett, Kahlil McKenzie, Kendal Vickers, Corey Vereen, Baylen Buchanan, Emmanuel Moseley, Rashaan Gaulden, Todd Kelly Jr. and Micah Abernathy.
