Jalen Hurd missed the game, but Tennessee’s other running backs did more than just “filled in” in his absence. Both Alvin Kamara and John Kelly had very costly fumbles, but both also piled up the yards and made huge plays. Kelly, in his first major action of his Tennessee career, carried the ball 13 times for 89 yards and scored a touchdown. Kamara turned his first start of his career into a masterful performance. Kamara gained 127 yards on the ground and 161 yards as a pass catcher, scoring three total touchdowns on the night. His 161 receiving yards are the most for the Vols this season. Both backs may have fumbled the ball, but both also had huge games.
