Even after five fumbles, an interception, a multitude of penalties, and even more injuries, the Vols still managed to erase a two-score deficit and force the game to overtime. The Vols had victory within reach yet again, but this time they couldn’t fully complete the comeback. Too many early mistakes cost the Vols, and the seventh and final turnover was a Dobbs’ interception that ended the game in the second overtime.
