8. Palardy knocks home the winner against SC

A play doesn’t have to be spectacular to be memorable. Kicker Michael Palardy knocked home a short, but sweet, 19-yard field goal attempt as time expired to give Jones his first signature win, and UT’s first win over a ranked opponent in its last 19 attempts at the time. After he sprinted the length of the field, teammates swarmed Palardy and celebrated a big, unexpected victory early in Jones’ tenure.
