Trevor Daniel didn’t have his best day, and UT gave up a long return late in the fourth quarter (albeit with a questionable block in the back that the refs flagged and then waived off) that set Georgia up with good field position on a crucial drive. But a little bit like the receivers, one play – the Evan Berry kickoff return past midfield that set up the Hail Mary – covers some of the other shortcomings in this area. The catch will be what is remembered, but Berry fighting his way forward on that return made it all even possible. He continues to show why he’s one of the great special teams weapons in college football.
