Jones also said inside linebacker Darrin Kirkland Jr. has started running again, but listed his as “questionable to doubtful” for the Georgia game.

While Chubb was lost for the season last year on the first series against the Vols, Tennessee also lost then-freshman defensive tackle Shy Tuttle on a questionable block from Georgia center Brandon Kublanow from behind. Jones said that play won’t be a motivating factor this year for Tennessee.
“It’s unfortunate that that happened, but Shy has recovered from it and you can’t focus on that,” he said.
SEC Honors: A pair of Vols were honored by the SEC after their performance against the Gators. Quarterback Joshua Dobbs was named the SEC’s Offensive Player of the Week after completing 16-of-32 passes for 319 yards, four touchdowns, two interceptions and added 80 yards on the ground with an additional touchdown.
Derek Barnett was named the SEC Co-Defensive Lineman of the Week after recording five tackles, three TFLs and a pair of sacks.
