What a tale of two halves. Tennessee’s pass catchers had a nightmare of a first half, dropping multiple passes, and straight taking points off the board with their errors. Redemption came in a huge way in the second half, however. The receivers and tight ends played arguably their best 30 minutes of the Butch Jones era. Josh Malone, Jauan Jennings and Ethan Wolf all made massive touchdown catches that turned the game in UT’s favor. Freshman Tyler Byrd is also emerging as a reliable threat. Grading this unit is tough because of the bipolar nature of its performance, but in the end, this group came up huge in the clutch.
