5. This offense does have another gear
Tennessee’s offense was more frustrating than exciting through three games plus the first half of Saturday. Playing from behind, and with growing confidence, Joshua Dobbs again looked like a dominant playmaker with his both feet and his arm, finishing with over 300 yards passing, 80 yards rushing and five total touchdowns. Jalen Hurd had some vintage big-time runs as well to help UT pull away late. After some crushing early drops, the receivers and tight ends played arguably their best 20 minutes of the Butch Jones era as well in the second half. The offensive line stabilized a bit with Chance Hall at right tackle, and while the entire offense must show more consistency, there’s a load of potential.
