4. Bob Shoop is a master adjuster
UT defensive coordinator Bob Shoop referenced a “magic show” one time when talking about some of the blitzes he can bring. Maybe it’s not magic at all – just great adjustments. Tennessee has started slow defensively several times this year, and that needs to get better, but Shoop seems to be making masterful adjustments on a weekly basis. That looked to be the case on Saturday as the Gators looked completely lifeless in the second half after a dominant first. UT gave up only one touchdown and just over 100 yards of total offense in the final 20 minutes. Most of that came when the game was largely out of reach as well. Butch Jones brought Shoop in to help him win big games like Florida. It certainly paid off in this one.
