After Tennessee opened as a 10-point favorite over the Gators, the line is down to 7.5, according to the figures available on VegasInsider.com on Monday morning.
Tennessee’s shaky 28-19 performance against Ohio likely has some bettors feeling less confident about the Vols, while a pile of injuries certainly isn’t helping UT either.
Tennessee will likely be without cornerback Cam Sutton, linebacker Darrin Kirkland Jr., defensive end LaTroy Lewis, offensive lineman Chance Hall, and have several questionable players such as linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin and wide receiver Josh Smith. Butch Jones will give further updates and confirmations at noon ET on Monday.
Florida, however, will be without starting quarterback Luke Del Rio and will turn to backup Austin Appleby to make his first start for the Gators.
History, of course, is very much on Florida’s side with the Gators coming to Knoxville with an 11-game winning streak in this series.
UT is 3-0 on the season, but 1-2 against the spread after closer-than-expected victories against Appalachian State and Ohio. The Gators are also 1-2 against the spread this season.
