It’s been a while, but ESPN’s weekly college football preview show is coming back to Knoxville. And they’ll be here to preview Tennessee’s match-up with SEC East rival Florida.

The College GameDay crew will be coming back to Knoxville for the first time since 2012 on Saturday, September 24th to highlight the Vols’ first SEC game of the year when they host the Florida Gators. GameDay announced the move on Twitter Sunday morning.

The last time ESPN’s College GameDay came to Knoxville was for another Tennessee-Florida game in 2012. And we all know how that one went.

Tennessee held a lead early in the second half against the Gators, but then the wheels came off Sal Sunseri’s defense. Florida ripped off big play after big play while Tennessee didn’t score for the rest of the game, and the Gators left Neyland with a 37-20 victory.

College GameDay has already been at one Tennessee game this season. The crew was just at the Battle at Bristol when the Vols took on Virginia Tech at Bristol Motor Speedway.

This will be the first time College GameDay has traveled to Knoxville in four years. Vol fans are hoping for far better results for Tennessee this time around.
