Our Tennessee Season Predictions Are In

vs. Florida, Sept. 24

Joshua-Dobbs

Daniel: I swore off picking UT in this series several years back, so I’m tempted, regardless of what I truly think, to just blindly pick Florida. But while I hate going back on my word about never picking UT, I would also hate to pick against Tennessee just out of principle. I always say, on the site and on RTI Radio, I’m going to give you what I truly think and believe. And I do think, while there are some challenging individual matchups for UT, the Vols are the better team and should win this game. I strongly reserve my right to change my mind in a few weeks, but I’ll say UT snaps the streak this year for now.

Pick: 28-24 Tennessee

Nathanael: I’ve run out of things to say about this game. Not just this game specifically, but the Florida game in general. No matter what kind of analysis I or anyone else provide, we can’t predict this game. Just look at the last three meetings under Jones. Nothing has gone how anyone thought, aside from the Vols continuing the losing streak. I’m just picking this on pure emotion and what should happen. Which means it probably won’t.

Pick: 24-20 Tennessee

Stephen: I completely understand the hesitancy here. Eleven straight losses will definitely make you lose confidence over time and the streak understandably has people skiddish to pick the Vols. But not me. When this streak started, Josh Dobbs was 10 years old. He hasn’t lost to Florida 11 years in a row. None of these players have. And I don’t believe it will matter one bit come September 24th. Florida will make a game out of it. But without hesitation or reservation, I believe Tennessee will leave no stone un-turned and will leave nothing to chance on their way to a convincing victory.

Pick: 31-17 Tennessee
