8. Tom Jurich
Quick bio: Jurich has been the AD at Louisville since 1997 after previously serving in the same capacity at Colorado State and Northern Arizona.
Pros: Jurich has helped shape Louisville into a football contender and basketball power after taking over a struggling department that was an afterthought in Conference USA. He’s navigated conference realignment perfectly, setting the Cardinals up in the ACC after previous stops in C-USA and the Big East. It’s difficult to find an AD that has done more with what he was handed than Jurich.
Cons: His name is thrown out in a lot of searches, and he seems pretty content to stay at Louisville indefinitely. There certainly have been some controversies and scandals under his watch. The basketball program is awaiting NCAA investigation right now.
