With kickoff under 20 days away, Nike is launching shoes that created quite a buzz on social media Friday.
Tennessee, a Nike school, is one of a handful of programs that will have its own team-inspired shoe coming out to the public this month in a collection called the Nike Train Speed 4 Week Zero.
According to the Nike blog: “The acclaimed Train Speed 4, with its inner-bootie construction and wide-open webbed exterior, is the canvas for the Swoosh’s latest round of school spirit. Contrast school colors converge at the midfoot on each pair, with each college’s iconic logo appearing on the tongue and another college-specific graphic(s) emblazoned on the heel. On either insole, more university graphics are emblazoned, cementing the stunning academic aesthetics.
“The Nike Train Speed 4 Week Zero collection releases August 15 at retailers nationwide (Eastbay/Foot Locker and the like for sure), including online accounts at 10am EDT/7am PDT. Based on recent experience, a quick sellout is a foregone conclusion.”
