2013 starters: Marquez North (Fr.), Pig Howard (Soph.), Jason Croom (RS Fr.)
2016 backups: Jauan Jennings (Soph.), Tyler Byrd (Fr.), Marquez Callaway (Fr.)
Who has the edge: This one is tough to call because of the freshmen being unproven for UT this year. North and Howard, albeit both inconsistent during their UT careers, did go on to combine for 82 catches in 2013 despite shaky quarterback play. Based on what we know right now, I’d give the slight edge to the 2013 version of those guys, but it’s close from an overall talent perspective.
