Jeff Hall/Aaron Medley
Hall is rightfully remembered as one of the best kickers ever to play for UT. But, even with a sophomore season that had some rocky moments, current UT junior Aaron Medley was far more accurate through two seasons in Knoxville:
Hall: 26/43 (60.4%); 94/98 XPs
Medley: 41/57 (71.9%); 97/98 XPs
Hall’s field-goal percentage climbed steadily the next two seasons, and he converted some iconic kicks. But Hall’s early-career struggles are a reminder that kickers can show great improvement later in their career. If that’s the case, Medley could be one of UT’s best ever.
